About

The National Underwater Robotics Challenge is a remotely controlled underwater robotics competition. It is an extracurricular science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) program. The competition emphasizes real-world hands-on activities that motivate students to take on tough challenges in a fun and exciting way. It is a catalyst for inspiration in young people. Over the years that the competition has taken place, many students and adults have participated. Many of those individuals have gone on into STEM including some into the field of underwater robotics. This is what the goal of the competition is, to inspire young people to want to go into the STEM fields that our country so badly needs.
